A Boudoir Session to Remember at My Reading Studio: A Perfect Blend of Beauty and Confidence

I’m always excited to create unforgettable boudoir photos for my clients, but every now and then, I get a session that truly stands out. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with an incredible model, Alexis, who not only brought her A-game to the shoot but also happens to be a boudoir photographer herself. This session turned out to be a true collaboration of skill, beauty, and style—and I’m thrilled to share the details with you!

The Magic of Hair and Makeup

One of the first things that truly set this session apart was the stunning work by hair and makeup artist Jenny Luu. Jenny’s approach to beauty is all about enhancing natural features while still making the look feel elevated and special. For Alexis, Jenny created a soft and romantic hairstyle with loose, voluminous waves that framed her face perfectly. The relaxed yet glamorous waves gave off such an effortless, carefree vibe, perfectly complementing the sensual and confident energy we were aiming for in the shoot.

For makeup, Jenny chose a gorgeous palette of golds and browns, which made Alexis’ eyes pop and added a touch of warmth and depth to her features. The colors were sultry and earthy, creating a smooth transition from soft and delicate to bold and dramatic. The makeup looked just as flawless in person as it did on camera, bringing out Alexis' natural beauty and helping to set the mood for our session.

The Client Closet Magic & Lingerie Love

For this session, Alexis chose a stunning bodysuit from my client closet, which fit her perfectly and added a touch of timeless elegance to the shoot. The sheer fabric of the bodysuit paired with delicate lace details created a beautiful contrast against her skin, making every shot feel soft yet bold.

But the real showstopper was the lingerie set Alexis brought along—a breathtaking bra set with large lace flowers. The texture of the lace was simply divine, and it showed up beautifully in the black and white images. The intricate floral design added such a unique, feminine touch to the set, and the way the lace stood out against the monochrome tones made the images feel elevated and artful.

One of the things I love about this set is its versatility. The bra is strappy and can be worn on the shoulder for a more classic look or slightly off the shoulder for an entirely different vibe. This subtle change in positioning gave us two distinct looks without having to change the outfit entirely, and it perfectly captured the dynamic energy of the session.
